THIS REQUEST FOR
CLEARANCE IS DISAPPROVED. IN VIEW OF THE FACT THAT THE UNIFORM
GUIDELINES ARE ON THE LIST OF REGULATIONS TO BE REVIEWED BY THE
PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE ON REGULATORY RELIEF, A SURVEY OF THE
PROPOSED TYPE WOULD ONLY DELAY ISSUANCE OF REVISED GUIDELINES. IN
LIEU OF THE PROPOSED SURVEY, OMB RECOMMENDS THAT EEOC HOLD A
MEETING OR A PUBLIC HEARING IN ORDER TO OBTAIN PUBLIC VIEWS ON THE
PRACTICAL UTILITY AND REASONABLENESS OF THE RECORDKEEPING
REQUIREMENTS CONTAINED IN THE GUIDELINES.
