Abstract: INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS SERVE AS A SOURCE FOR VERIFICATION OF PLANS APPROVALS, MAINTENANCE, INSPECTIONS, TESTING, AND OPERATOR QUALIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR CRANES ON OUTER CONTINENTAL SHELF, MOBILE OFFSHORE DRILLING UNITS AND A FEW INDUSTRIAL VESSELS. THIS INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO PROVE SUITABILITY OF EQUIPMENT FOR USE, AND T ASSURE SAFE OPERATION THROUGH DESIGNATION OF TRAINED PERSONNEL.
