Abstract: THE RAILROAD RETIREMENT ACT GUARANTEES THAT BENEFITS PAYABLE TO A RAILROAD EMPLOYEE AND HIS FAMILY WILL BE NO LESS THAN WOULD BE PAYABLE IF THE EMPLOYEE'S RAILROAD EARNINGS WERE CREDITED UNDER SSA. THE REPORTS OBTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE RETIRED ANNUITANT'S FAMILY COMPOSITION TO BE USED IN DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF BENEFITS PAYABLE UNDER THE GUARANTY PROVISION.
