Abstract: FORM 8-K ELICITS MATERIAL INFORMATION FROM ISSUERS OF PUBLICLY TRADED SECURITIES PROMPTLY AFTER THE OCCURRENCE OF CERTAIN SPECIFIED OR OTHER IMPOTANT CORPORATE EVENTS IN ORDER THAT INVESTORS AND THE MARKETPLACE MAY HAVE THE BENEFIT OF CURRENT INFORMATION WHEN MAKING INVESTMENT DECISIONS. THE COMMISSION IS PROPOSING TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS TO COORDINATE THE FORM WITH OTHER FORMS IN THE INTEGRATED DISCLOSURE SYSTEM.
