Abstract: PROVIDES DATA FROM FEDERALLY AND NON-FEDERALLY INSPECTED SLAUGHTER PLANTS ON NUMBER OF HEAD AND LIVE AND DRESSED WEIGHTS TO ESTIMATE TOTAL RED MEAT PRODUCTION. A COORDINATED PROGRAM WITH FSIS, AMS AND SRS PROVIDES WEEKLY AND MONTHLY REPORTS. ESTIMATES USED BY FARMERS, MEAT PACKING INDUSTRY AND GOVERNMENT TO MONITOR RED MEAT SUPPLIES.
