Abstract: PART 537 REQUIRES AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS TO FURNISH THE AGENCY WITH DETAILED TECHNICAL INFORMATION. THIS INFORMATION IS USED BY THE AGENC TO EVALUATE THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE MANUFACTURERS' COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE FUEL ECONOMY STANDARDS, TO INFORMATION REQUESTS FROM OUTSID THE AGENCY AND TO PREPARE ANNUAL ANSWERS FOR FUEL ECONOMY REVIEWS FOR CONGRESS.
