Director Devine's letter to Chris DeMuth dated July 26, 1982 requested that the SF-171 be extended through December 1983. That request is hereby granted. OPM staff has indicated that a substantial (8%) reduction in the reporting burden imposed by SF-171 is anticipated as a result of the review that is underway. That reduction should be reflected in the agency's information collection budget request for FY 1984.
