This requirement
is extended through March 15, 1983, when two new additional
passenger sampling procedures are to be issued to further reduce
the burden associated with Section 15 reporting. It is expecte that
these new procedures will be submitted to OMB for approval on or
before January 31, 1983. For the past two submissions, UMTA has
failed to meet OMB clearance procedures for timely submission of
requests. OMB expects requests to be submitted at least 45 days
before the scheduled expiration date.

SECTION 15 OF THE UMT ACT OF 1964
MANDATES A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF ACCOUNT AND RECORDS, AND A REPORTING
SYSTEM FOR MASS TRANSIT OPERATORS TO ENABLE THE OPERATORS TO
