Abstract: THIS STUDY WILL SCREEN EACH PATIENT ENTERING A CORONARY CARE UNIT WITH AN INITIAL DIAGNOSIS OF DEFINITE OR SUSPECTED MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION (MI). THE NEED FOR THE STUDY IS TO ADMINISTER THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS WITHIN 18 HOURS OF THE ONSET OF MI AND FOLLOW-UP TO DETERMINE THE EFFECT OF THESE INTERVENTIONS.
