Abstract: THIS REGULATION PROVIDES PROCEDURES FOR THE TERMINATION OF SUFFICIENT DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PLANS AND ENSURES THAT PARTICIPANTS OF SUCH PLANS WILL RECEIVE HIS OR HER BENEFIT IN AN ANNUITY FORM SPECIFIED IN THE PLAN ON A TIMELY AND UNINTERRUPTED BASIS.
