Abstract: NRC IS PROPOSING TO AMEND ITS REGULATIONS TO REGULATE FITNESS FOR DUTY FOR PERSONNEL WITH UNESCORTED ACCESS TO PROTECTED AREAS. SPECIFIC PROCEDURES ARE TO BE ESTABLISHED TO PREVENT ACCESS TO THOSE INDIVIDUAL UNDER INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS OR OTHERWISE UNFIT FOR DUTY DUE TO MENTAL OR TEMPORARY PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS THAT COULD AFFECT THEIR PERFORMANCE.
