Abstract: THE FNS 498 PROVIDES PARTICIPATION AND PROGRAM PERFORMANCE DATA TO FNS THE IMPROVED ACCURACY AND TIMELINESS OF THE DATA WILL ENABLE THE STATE AGENCIES AND FNS TO BE MORE ACCURATELY RESPONSIVE TO CHANGING FINANCIA NEEDS AND WILL MINIMIZE THE ASSOCIATED RISKS FOR WASTE, FRAUD AND ABUS OF FUNDS.
