COLLECTION IS TO EXAMINE THE ECONOMIC, LEGAL AND ETHICAL
CONSEQUENCES OF REIMBURSING FOR HEART TRANSPLANTATIO UNDER THE
MEDICARE SYSTEM. THE ANALYSIS OF PRIOR AND CURRENT EXPERIENC WITH
THE PROCEDURE WILL PROVIDE IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO AID THE
SECRETARY OF DHHS IN MAKING AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT WHETHER TO
EXTEND MEDICARE COVERAGE FOR HEART TRANSPLANTATIONS. INFORMATION
