Abstract: FORM 3-860 IS USED BY LICENSED BIRD BANDERS TO RECORD SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON THE USE OF EACH FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE BAND ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLACED ON A BIRD AND THE BIRD RELEASED INTO THE WILD AGAIN. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS USED BY FEDERAL, STATE AND PRIVATE CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS AND THE CANADIAN WILDLIFE SERVICES FOR THE PROPER MANAGEMENT OF MIGRATORY BIRDS IN NORTH AMERICA.
