Abstract: CONGRESS HAS MANDATED THE COLLECTION OF NATIONAL ASSESSMENT SURVEY DAT THE DATA COLLECTION WILL OCCUR DURING THE 1983-84 SCHOOL YEAR IN THE OF READING AND WRITING. ACHIEVEMENT DATA, AS WELL AS ACHIEVEMENT RELATED INFORMATION, WILL BE USEFUL TO THE PUBLIC RESEARCHERS, LEGISLATORS AND EDUCATORS.
