Abstract: 46 USC 71(C) VOLUNTARY MEASUREMENT, PERMITS YACHT OWNERS TO ADMEASURE THEIR VESSELS AND SUBMIT DIMENSIONS WITH A COMPLETED APPLICATION TO AN ADMEASUREMENT OFFICE WHICH PROCESSES IT INTO A TONNAGE CERTIFICATE WHI FINALIZES THE ADMEASUREMENT PROCESS. THE OWNER IS THEN NOTIFIED OF TH ACTION SO HE MAY PROCEED WITH THE DOCUMENTATION PROCESS.
