Abstract: MANUFACTURERS OF AUTOMATIC AIR MONITORING INSTRUMENTS MAY REQUEST EPA APPROVAL OF THESE INSTRUMENTS FOR USE BY AIR POLLUTION MONITORING AGENCIES. REQUESTS MUST CONTAIN PERFORMANCE DATA SO THAT EPA CAN DETERMINE IF THE INSTRUMENTS CAN ACCUATELY MEASURE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE NATIONAL AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS.
