The approval
extends to information collections (required by the DAR system)
contained in solicitations issued before April 1984 or in contracts
made as a result of solicitations issued prior to April 1984 In
some limited cases, the Department may have prepared a solicitation
under existing DAR regulations, but not issued it prior to April 1,
1984. This approval may be applied to those cases, provided the
solicitation is issued before April 30, 1984 and the cognizant
contracting activity verifies that it was prepared before April 1,
1984. If the solicitation prepared before April 1, 1984 cannot be
issued prior to April 30, 1984, this approval may be used up to
July 1, 1984 provided the appropriate senior official (designated
in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (P.L. 96-511))
verifies that the solicitation was prepared prior to April 1, 1984
and the Department forwards a brief description of all such cases
to this office by August 31, 1984.
