Abstract: THE PROPOSED LABELLING REQUIREMENT FOR CORDLESS TELEPHONES WOULD ALERT CONSUMERS OF THE FEATURES WHICH PROTECT AGAINST TELEPHONE CALLS BEING MADE BY PERSONS OTHER THAN THE OWNER. THIS WILL HELP CONSUMERS TO SELECT CORDLESS TELEPHONES WITH FEATURES DESIGNED TO PROTECT AGAINST MISBILLING AS APPROPRIATE FOR THEIR NEEDS.
