Abstract: RECORDKEEPING AND CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS CONTAINED IN FDIC'S REGULATION 12 CFR 344 ENSURE THAT PURCHASERS OF SECURITIES IN TRANSACTIONS EFFECTED IN INSURED STATE NONMEMBER BANKS ARE PROVIDED ADEQUATE INFOMRATION CONCERNING THE TRANSACTIONS. THE REGULATION ALSO REQUIRES BANKS TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE RECORDS AND CONTROLS WITH RESPECT TO SECURITIES TRANSACTIONS THEY EFFECT.
