Terms of Clearance: THIS ACTION EXTENDS THE CURRENT APPROVAL FOR THE STUDENT AID REPORT THROUGH NOVEMBER 1986. THIS APPROVAL DOES NOT COVER THE USE OF THE FORM BEYOND THE 1985-86 SCHOOL YEAR. THE TERMS OF CLEARANCE LISTED IN THE PREVIOUS NOTICE OF OMB ACTION DATED 12/28/84 CONTINUE TO APPLY TO THIS CLEARANCE. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT SEVERAL ITEMS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED TO OMB BY 2/18/85 UNDER THE TERMS PERTAINING TO THIS CLEARANCE.

Abstract: THE STUDENT COMPLETES AN APPLICATION FROM (ED 255) ON WHICH HE/SHE PROVIDES INCOME AND ASSET INFORMATION NECESSARY TO DETERMINE AN EXPECTED FAMILY CONTRIBUTION TOWARD EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES. THE STUDENT SENDS THE FORM TO AN ED CONTRACTOR WHICH DETERMINES THE AMOUNT OF THE EXPECTED FAMILY CONTRIBUTION. THE ED CONTRACTOR THEN SENDS THE STUDENT A SAR WHICH IS A NOTIFICATION OF THE RESULTS OF THAT DETERMINATION. THE INSTITUTE SENDS IN PART 3 TO RECEIVE THE FUNDS.
