Abstract: BROADCAST STATIONS ARE REQUESTED BY FCC TO VOLUNTARILY SUBMIT THE EBS ACTIVATION REPORT. THE DATE ENABLES THE COMMISSION, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, AND THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) TO EVALUATE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THEIR PROGRAM TO DEVELOP AN OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY FOR NATIONAL, STATE OR LOCAL OFFICIALS TO USE THE EBS AT THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL.
