Abstract: THE SURVEYS OF MINORITIES AND WOMEN WILL FULFILL A NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION POLICY PROVISION TO PROMOTE GREATER PARTICIPATION OF THESE GROUPS IN INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO PROVIDE CONGRESS AND THE SHIPPING PUBLIC WITH THE NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION OF THE TYPE OF AUTHORITIES POSSESSED BY MINORITIES AND FEMALE-OWNED MOTOR CARRIERS.
