Abstract: THE STATE STUDENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM USES MATCHING FEDERAL/STATE FUNDS TO PROVIDE A NATIONWIDE SYSTEM OF GRANTS TO HELP QUALIFIED COLLEGE STUDENTS. THIS PERFORMANCE REPORT/FNANCIAL STATUS REPORT IS USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE OF ALLOTMENTS. THE ANALYZED DATA IS USED FOR PROGRAM EVALUATION, BUDGET AND POLICY DECISIONS AND TO ASSIST STATES IN PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT.
