SECTION 572.502 OF 46 CFR 572 IS
PROPOSED TO BE AMENDED TO REQUIRE CONFERENCE AGREEMENTS TO
ESTABLISH A MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE NOTICE PERIOD, TO PROVIDE FOR A
SINGLE NOTICE TO THE CONFERENCE, AND TO STATE THAT A PROPONENT OF
INDEPENDENT ACTION IS NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MEETING TO EXPLAIN
INDEPENDENT ACTIONS TAKEN.
