Terms of Clearance: The Quality Appraisal paperwork package is approved through 5/86. DOL has indicated that many of the QA activities will be incorporated into the Quality Control program but has not clearly identified those activities. Thus, if DOL seeks additional clearance for QA, it must submit a new paperwork package fully explaining which QA elements will not be incorporated into QC and justifying the continued need and purpose for those elements.

Abstract: STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AGENCIES (SESAS) USE THE UI QUALITY APPRAISA ANNUALLY TO ASSESS THE ACCURACY AND TIMELINESS OF UI OPERATIONS. RESULTS ARE USED TO DETERMINE WHICH AREAS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED VIA CORRECTIVE ACTIONS PLANS IN THE STATES' ANNUAL PROGRAM BUDGET PLAN (PBP).
