Abstract: THE ACT PROVIDES FOR FEDERAL REVIEW OF STATE PERMIT APPLICATIONS TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE WITH 404(B)(1) GUIDELINES. THE STATE WILL TRANSM THE APPLICATION INFORMATION TO EPA FOR TRANSMISSION TO THE OTHER FEDERAL REVIEW AGENCIES. EPA WILL EVALUATE ALL FEDERAL COMMENTS AND FORWARD OFFICIAL FEDERAL RECOMMENDATIONS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE STATE.
