Abstract: THE ACT PROVIDES FOR FEDERAL REVIEW OF STATE PERMIT APPLICATIONS THE ACT PROVIDES FOR FEDERAL REVIEW OF STATE PERMIT APPLICATION TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE 404(B)(1) GUIDELINES. THE STATE WILL TRANSM THE APPLICATION INFORMATION TO EPA FOR TRANSMISSION TO THE OTHER FEDERAL REVIEW AGENCIES. EPA WILL EVALUATE ALL FEDERAL COMMENTS AND FORWARD OFFICIAL FEDERAL RECOMMENDATIONS/OBJECTIONS TO THE STATE.
