Abstract: ESSENTIAL SERVICE, GAS, AIRLINES, SMALL COMMUNITIES PART 326 SETS PROCEDURES UNDER WHICH AN AIRLINE RECEIVING SUBSIDY FOR SERVING A COMMUNITY MAY BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER CARRIER OFFERING TO PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE OR SERVICE AT A LOWER SUBSIDY COST. THESE PROCEDURES ARE NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT SECTIONS 419(A) AND (B)(8) OF THE FEDERAL AVIATION ACT.
