Approval is
granted to continue using the OAI on an experimental basis as
stated in the supporting statement, the OAI instrument shall not be
used as a screening device for applicants. Peace Corps shall submit
validity information from the follow-on study for 4th quarter FY 86
before approval is given to use the OAI as a screening device.

THE OAI WILL BE USED AS A SUITABILITY
TOOL IN CONJUNCTION WITH EXISTIN SCREENING DEVICES FOR ALL THOSE
WHO MAKE APPLICATION TO SERVE AS PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEERS. USE OF
THIS DEVICE IS IN THE EXPERIMENTAL STAGE, RESPONDENTS WILL BE
TRACKED TO ASCERTAIN EFFECTIVENESS OF THE INSTRUMENT BEFORE WIDE
SCALE USE IN THE AGENCY.
