The OAI will not
be used to select and reject potential Peace Corps volunteers.
Approval is granted for the scheduled study plan of activities
described in the supporting statement. Prior to our approval after
this first year, detailed stud results must be submitted, including
factor structure of scales, and validation/normative study results.
Peace Corps should strengthen the study design by ensuring that no
one in the field is aware of OAI scores. Early release of test
scores could influence decisions, assignments and confound the
study. Privacy Act Statement should be rewritten to read: "You are
required to complete this inventory if you wish to be considered
for Peace Corps service. If you fail to provide th requested data,
your application will not be processed further."
