This information
collection is approved through 4/30/87 only. DOT must resubmit it
for OMB review within eight weeks of the date NHTSA concludes its
study of voluntary tire registration under section 158(b)(3). At
that time, DOT must recalculate the burden hours of this
information collection to reflect the data in the section 158(b)(3)
study concerning the actual level of compliance by independent tire
dealers under voluntary registration. Further, DOT must describe
any NHTSA recommendations resulting from the 158(b)(3) study and
estimate how these proposals would change the burden hours if
adopted.
