10 CFR PART 72 ESTABLISHES REQUIREMENTS FOR AN NRC LICENSE TO POSSESS POWER REACTOR SPENT FUEL AND ASSOCIATED RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS IN AN INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION (ISFSI). NRC IS ALSO PROPOSING A RULE WHICH WOULD EXTEND THE SCOPE OF 10 CFR PART 72 TO INCLUDE REQUIREMENTS FOR NRC LICENSING OF A MONITORED RETRIEVABLE STORAGE INSTALLATION (MRS).
