Abstract: INFORMATION NEEDED TO INFORM THE COAST GUARD THAT A VESSEL OR PERSONNEL ACCIDENT HAS OCCURRE THIS INFORMATION IS THEN USED BY THE COAST GUARD TO INITIATE AN INVESTIGATION AS REQUIRED BY 46 USC 6301. SUBMISSION BY VESSEL OWNER/OPERATOR FULFILLS REPORTING REQUIREMENTS OF 46 USC 6101 AND 43 U 1348.
