Abstract: EPA IS GATHERING INFORMATION FROM FIXED FACILITIES ON THE CAUSES AND PRVENTION OF RELEASES OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH A DATA BASE TO ANALYZE TRENDS AND EFFECTS. THOSE FACILITIES HAVING RELEASES WHICH MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA WILL RECEIVE A LETTER REQUIRING THIS INFORMATION.
