Abstract: THE CENSUS BUREAU NEEDS THE F-5 TO OBTAIN TAX DATA FROM STATE GOVERNMENTS AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. THE NATIONAL INCOME ACCOUNTS INCORPORATE DATA TAKEN FROM THE F-5. OFFICIALS AND RESEARCHERS USE THESE DATA IN THE ANALYSIS OF STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCES, AND IN LONG-ESTABLISHED CENSUS BUREAU REPORTS.
