THE CONTROL OF VEHICLE REFUELING EMISSIONS IS NECESSARY TO HELP ATTAIN AND MAINTAIN THE NATIONAL AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARD FOR OZONE, WHIC IS NOW BEING VIOLATED IN MANY AREAS OF THE COUNTRY. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM GASOLINE-FUELED VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS WILL BE USED BY T EPA TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE WITH THE FEDERAL REFUELING EMISSION STANDARD.
