This information
collection request is cleared for 18 months. On July 22, EPA (Mitch
Kidwell from the Office of Solid Waste and Larry Groner from the
Office of Enforcement and Compliance Monitoring) agreed to submit
to OMB a flow chart describing informatio requirements placed on
hazardous waste generators, storers, treaters, and disposal
facilities. These requirements should include, but are not limited
to, the Hazardous Waste Manifest, Operating Record, and Waste
Analyses. Upon submission of this chart, EPA should review the
information requirements for duplicativeness, including the
duplication of reporting and recordkeeping required under this
ICR.

THIS CLEARANCE PACKAGE PROVIDES BURDEN
HOUS ASSOCIATED WITH THE INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR TANK AND
CONTAINER FACILITIES. UNDER RCRA EACH HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY MUST
APPLY FOR AN OPERATING UNIT. THE REQUIRED INFORMATION IS SUBMITTED
VOLUNTARILY OR WHEN EPA CALLS IN PART B OF THE RCRA PERMIT
APPLICATION. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED BY EPA TO DETERMINE
ELIGIBILITY FOR A RCRA PERMIT.
