TH HAZARD COMMUNICATION STANDARD
REQUIRES ALL EMPLOYERS TO ESTABLISH HAZARD COMMUNICATION PROGRAMS
TO TRANSMIT INFORMATION ON THE HAZARDS OF CHEMICAL TO THEIR
EMPLOYEES BY MEANS OF CONTAINER LABELS, MATERIAL SAFETY DATA
SHEETS, AND TRAINING PROGRAMS. THIS ACTION WILL REDUCE THE
INCIDENCE OF CHEMICAL-RELATED ILLNESS AND INJURY IN AMERICAN
WORKPLACES.
