CFR 1320 and the Paperwork Reduction Act, the addition o nonutility
generation data to the currently approved collection is approved as
requested. However, when the entire collection is resubmitted for
review EIA must demonstrate the practical utility of the following
sections of form EIA-861: Schedule I items k, l, m, n Schedule III
and Schedule V. To demonstrate practical utility, EIA should
indicate who uses this information and how. Further, EIA shoul
include the authorizing legislation and indicate the flexibility
provided to the Secretary in terms of data to be collected and the
frequency of collection.

THE ELECTRIC POWER SURVEYS COLLECT
INFORMATION ON CAPACITY, GENERATION FUEL CONSUMPTION, RECEIPTS AND
STOCKS, PRICES, ELECTRIC RATES, TYPICAL ELECTRIC BILLS,
CONSTRUCTION COSTS, OPERATING INCOME AND REVENUE OF ELETRIC UTILITY
COMPANIES. DATA ARE PUBLISHED IN VARIOUS EIA REPORTS. RESPONDENTS
ARE PRIMARILY ELECTRIC UTILITIES.
