Terms of Clearance: OMB is lifting the previous "terms of clearance" placed on this information collection. In that "terms of clearance," OMB had directed HUD to rely on data collected by the Department of Labor regarding the mortgage-backed security holdings of pension funds. To ensure the comparability of data collected from commercial banks and pension funds, OMB will allow HUD to continue the direct collection of data from pension funds -- rather than requiring HUD to rely on data collected by the Department of Labor.
