Terms of Clearance: In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, this survey is approved until January 1991 per your letter of 7/15/88. FWS should send OMB a copy of the report from the Nonresponse Study with a schedule for implementation of the study recommendations. FWS is encouraged to implement as much of the study results as possible for next year's survey (1990). Recommendations from the Test of Alternate Forms can then be implemented the following year.

Abstract: , 'WILDLIFE CONSERVATION'. MIGRATORY WATERFOWL HUNTING IS AUTHORIZED THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES INCLUDING ALASKA. INFORMATION ON THE MAGNITUDE AND COMPOSITION OF THE HARVEST IS NEEDED FOR SOUND MANAGEMENT AND TO PRECLUDE OVER-HARVEST OF THE SPECIES INVOLVED. THE FORMS USED IN THESE SURVEYS PROVIDE THE MAJOR PART OF THAT INFORMATION.
