THE NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE IS
CONDUCTING THE COMMUNITY INTERVENTION TRIAL FOR SMOKING CESSATION
(COMMIT), WHICH WILL TEST COMMUNITY-BASED STRATEGIES TO PRODUCE
LONG-TERM CESSATION AMONG SMOKERS, PARTICULARLY HEAVY SMOKERS. THIS
REQUEST IS FOR THE PRETESTING AND FIELDING OF INTERVENTION
ACTIVITIES SURVEYS OF HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL, WORKSITES LOCAL
ORGANIZATIONS, CESSATION RESOURCES AND THE SMOKERS'
