Abstract: THE MONITORING REPORT PROVID THE ONLY MEASUREMENT OF PARTICIPATING STATES' COMPLIANCE WITH THE MAJO MANDATES OF THE JJDP ACT. THE REPORTED DATA IS USED TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR FEDERAL FUNDS, TO ANSWER INQUIRIES FROM THE PUBLIC, AN TO ASSIST CONGRESS, OJJDP, AND THE STATES IN PLANNING JUSTICE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS.
