Abstract: UNDER 46 U.S.C. 4310 MANUFACTURERS OF BOATS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE COMMANDANT WHEN SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY TO THE PUBLIC OR FAIL TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS. THE COAST GUARD USES THE CG-4917 AND CG-4918 TO COLLECT THE INFORMATION.
