Abstract: THE INFANT FORMULA ACT AUTHORIZES THE SECRETARY OF HHS TO ESTABLISH TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE CONTINUED EXEMPTION OF INFAN FORMULAS. THIS FINAL ROUTE ESTABLISHES THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PROVIDES INCREASED ASSURANCE OF SAFETY AND APPROPRIATE NUTRIENT CONTENT OF INFANT FORMULAS FOR CONSUMERS.
