Abstract: PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF FCC RULES WHICH, ALONG WITH TRADE ACT OF 1988, REQUIRE SUBMISSION OF FCC 740 BY IMPORTERS/CONSIGNEES FOR EACH IMPORT OF RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES OR SUBASSEMBLIES. INFORMATION ALLOWS DEVIC TO BE SCREENED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH FCC TECHNICAL REGULATIONS, THEREBY REDUCING POTENTIAL FOR HARMFUL INTERFERENCE BEING CAUSED TO AUTHORIZED COMMUNICATIONS.
