Abstract: THIS FORM IS USED TO COLLECT DATA FROM STATE AND LOCAL BUILDING PERMIT OFFICIALS. WE NEED THESE DATA TO UPDATE THE UNIVERSE OF PERMIT-ISSUIN PLACES, THE SAMPLING FRAME FOR THE BUILDING PERMITS SURVEYS (DPS). THE BPS PROVIDE WIDELY USED MEASURES OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY, INCLUDI THE ECONOMIC INDICATOR HOUSING UNITS AUTHORIZED BY BUILDING PERMITS.
