Approved for 6
months with the following condition. HUD shall revise handbook
4910.1 to request that changes in local codes be submitted to HUD
for review only if those changes eliminate regulatory coverage of
an "areas or subarea" specified in sections 24 CFR 200.925b or
200.926a. Since HUD's regulation only requires a determination that
a local code regulates an "area or subarea" and does not impose a
minimum level of coverage on localities, the current requirements
are unnecessarily burdensome. HUD shall submit the handbook change
to OMB when it next submits this information collection for OMB
review.
