with the Paperwork Reduction Act and 5 CFR 1320, this collection of
information is approved through October 31, 1991. The practical use
and expense of "International travel approval and notification"
portion of the information collection request (ICR) needs further
justification. AID's next request for OMB review should include:
(1) an explanation of the practical necessity of this portion of
the ICR, and the cost of its application, particularly with regard
to delayed or cancelled travel plans, (2) the results of direct
consultations with contractors on the utility and expense of this
portion of the ICR and its use, and (3) consideration of
alternatives, as appropriate.
